This set of three book covers are a reinterpretation of renouned author, Agatha Christie’s, murder mystery novels: “Sparkling Cyanide”,“And Then There Were None” & “Murder On The Orient Express”.



And Then There Were None
"And Then There Were None" follows ten strangers who are invited to a remote island under various pretexts. Once there, they are accused of past crimes by an unseen host through a recorded message. Stranded on the island with no way to escape, the guests begin to die one by one, mirroring the deaths described in a nursery rhyme displayed in the house. As paranoia and suspicion grow among the remaining guests, they realize that the murderer is among them. Through twists and turns, secrets are revealed, and the characters confront their guilt and past misdeeds. Ultimately, it is revealed that the killer is one of the remaining guests, who has been methodically carrying out the murders based on a sense of justice for past crimes committed by each victim.
Sparkling Cyanide
"Sparkling Cyanide" revolves around the suspicious death of a young woman named Rosemary Barton, who dies after drinking champagne laced with cyanide at a birthday party. Her death is initially ruled as suicide, but when her husband George and friends gather a year later to commemorate her death, they begin to suspect foul play. As they delve into Rosemary's past and the motives of those around her, they uncover secrets, deceit, and hidden agendas among the group. Through a series of twists and turns, the truth about Rosemary's death is gradually revealed in classic Agatha Christie style, with unexpected revelations and a surprising culprit.

Murder On The Orient Express
"Murder on the Orient Express" begins with detective Hercule Poirot boarding the luxurious Orient Express train. During the journey, American businessman Samuel Ratchett is found murdered in his compartment. Poirot is enlisted to solve the case and interviews the passengers, uncovering a web of secrets and motives. Each passenger has a connection to the victim and a potential motive for murder. As Poirot delves deeper, he realizes that the murder may have been a collective effort. Through meticulous deduction, Poirot gathers evidence and analyzes clues, leading him to suspect the true identity of the killer. In a dramatic climax, Poirot gathers all the suspects and presents his ingenious solution to the mystery. The solution challenges conventional notions of justice and leaves the passengers and readers stunned.
Sketches & Process
Many variations of the three covers were sketched before the finals were narrowed down.
Each cover is based on the context of the book it represents, but all having elements that tie them together. It was clear that the style that stood out the most was the one that was ultimately chosen.
The name of each book cover fills the page, the only clear space creating a silhouette of a turning point of its story, usually the murder weapon. Each cover while relating in style - all reflect characteristics of their individual story, a mystery of your own to find them all.
Once chosen, the style was explored in many different directions. Different silhouettes, word layouts, and hidden symbols were explored and experimented with.
